For decades the argument has raged on, whose land does Israel belong to? The Jews or Palestinians? On and on they argue, calling back in different ways. I will refrain from commenting on my personal view, for I believe it to be insignificant. What is of interest is that which I read recently while studying:
“The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.” Leviticus 25:23
I stopped and paused there for a moment. If we are to take the Bible as the Word of God and established forever, then it is most important to note that God claims ownership of the land. It was the underlying reason for His instructions to the Israelites concerning the Jubilee and the ban on selling land. You can’t sell what you don’t own!
In the arguments over who has the right to the land, it appears that maybe one of the most important factors has been missed: God. God the Creator has laid claim to the land.
If . . . if the Bible is true, then keep your eyes fixed on that land in the Middle East part of which we call Israel, for God himself has claimed that to be His and there are for certain, monumental events that will take place there in the near future.
